* The type of cleaning needed is diagnosed at your first visit based upon your periodontal health. This diagnosis is made by examination of your x-rays, periodontal measurements, and clinical findings. The ”Cleaning” included with the new patient special applies for preventative, healthy mouth cleanings known as Prophylaxis or Periodontal Maintenance after the completion of Scaling and Root Planing. Scaling and Root Planing, also known as a “Deep Cleaning”, is NOT included with the new patient special.
